History of Swetsville Zoo

History of Swetsville Zoo.

Farmer Bill Swets started sculpting metal creatures out of scrap metal as a hobby back in 1985 and putting them out in his yard. Today, he has accumulated some 160 mythical and whimsical metal creations, from dinosaurs to windmills, trains, and spaceships.

The quirky collection is scattered around town these days, as it has had to make way for development, but many sculptures still line a wooded path around the property in Timnath, CO, and it remains a popular roadside attraction throughout Colorado.
