Author: Fort Collins Colorado has become one of the tops cities to live in in all of the United States. It has been among the top ten cities to live in for over five years now. Cost of living, quality of life, and climate are among a few of its aspects that make it rise to the top. Situated at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins has around 300 sunny days a year making it desirable to everyone. It is also a very biker friendly town with bike lanes on almost every road. One of the first bike libraries was founded here where residents and tourists can check out bikes for up to seven days at absolutely no charge. Employment opportunities are very plentiful with Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard and Kodak being some of the biggest named employers in town. A beautiful campus of Colorado State University is situated on a beautiful piece of land right in downtown Fort Collins. This city is also home to one of the top health care systems in the country, the Poudre Valley Health System and is currently building a state of the art cancer center. The historic district is full of microbreweries and top of the line restaurants.
